Commercial design & build

The Garden Company’s creative and award winning work is drawn from years of expertise and experience.

We are proud that our design expertise and landscaping craftmanship are sought after by commercial clients across many sectors, and has been recognised with multiple prestigious awards from the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).

For over 30 years, we have been trusted to bring to life a diverse range of ambitious commercial design and build projects.

Our commercial clients value high-quality landscaping and understand its ‘value-add’. Recent projects include prestigious business parks, corporate Head Offices, residential developments with communal spaces (entrance areas, courtyards, roof gardens), a country club/wedding venue and several independent schools. We are honoured to have created 11 display gardens for the Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew over a number of years and to have collaborated closely with the Head Gardener at the historic Temple Garden in London’s legal district.

How we work

It is easy to do business with us. We take pride in being responsive and focussed on your requirements. Our track record in managing commercial projects means that we will understand your brief quickly and deliver to award-winning quality standards. We work with our commercial clients in two ways:

  • Providing an end-to-end design and build service in which we realise our own design schemes
  • Collaborating with other designers (in-house or independent) to create beautifully constructed outdoor spaces. As qualified designers ourselves we are skilled at sensitively interpreting drawings and plans.

We have an extensive network of trusted partners from electricians to joiners and steel fabricators with whom we regularly work to deliver bespoke aspects of a scheme. We know how to collaborate with other stakeholders (e.g. architects, surveyors, other contractors) and integrate into the overall programme requirements.

Our commercial clients rely on us to have longstanding partnerships with trusted suppliers of materials, plants and equipment to smooth the supply chain, helping to make sure that measures of cost, quality and time are all met.

As well as understanding our legal and statutory responsibilities in terms of Health and Safety, we are also experienced in managing projects with particular sensitivities e.g. historical, environmental factors and conservation sites.
