Our insight
Our role was to apply our landscaping skills and craftmanship to bring the Roche design team’s concept to life. We were also commissioned to design and build a striking granite clad water feature with stainless steel water cascades, which adds to the ‘wow’ factor on approaching the buildings.
The transformation
The approach to the new offices was kept deceptively simple by Roche’s design team. A line of silver birches reflects the lightness of the office’s construction materials and angular lines of its architecture; the stainless steel, rush-filled water cascade adds the dimensions of light, sound and movement as employees and visitors approach the Head Office.
This was a challenging project with an ambitiously accelerated build. All exterior landscaping, including the laying of all lawn and planting of 100 semi-mature trees and 10,000 shrubs took just four months, thanks to close collaboration with Roche’s project managers and build teams.
