The Garden Company was founded in 1991 and specialises in high quality commercial and domestic landscaping and maintenance. It employs a full time staff of 20 people and has a turnover of over £1 million. Its chief operational area is South East England although it can deliver services nationally.
It is The Garden Company`s vision to be recognised within its industry as the foremost landscape company in its region and to be the landscape company of choice for landscape professionals to work for and with.
Its mission is to provide a highly creative landscape design service to both the regional domestic market and business community, in providing highly efficient landscape services that totally meet the client needs and are sensitive to the environment.
The founding directors - James Scott and Kathie Coss - are the company`s directors today.
James Scott is Managing Director of The Garden Company Ltd. He graduated from Merrist Wood in 1989 with a Diploma in Landscape Construction and was awarded the accolade of `Best Design Student`. James manages the company`s commercial and domestic landscaping service offerings in combination with his role as MD.
Kathie Coss graduated from Writtle College in 1989 with a Diploma in Horticulture. Kathie`s main focus is to manage and develop the company`s commercial and domestic maintenance, planting and small works services.
The Garden Company is a full member of BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) and has been awarded 16 BALI National Awards since 1996 including the Principal Award. Kathie serves on the committee of BALI North Thames and was Chairperson from 2003 to 2005.
